I support thee

Several events have been occurring around me, and yes, many of them have even affected me, yet, nothing motivated me to scribble down something on this page. I am a Die Hard Indian Cricket fan; yet, I did not feel like sharing my views with you all even when India was whitewashed by the English. Leave this aside; the whole nation has come to a standstill to raise their voice on India Against Corruption, and yet even this did not leave a major impact on me to raise my voice. But then, this happens, and I was left speechless.

Tomorrow i.e. 25th August, 2011, I along with my few friends, some not, or you can also say with my college mates, will attend a rally, rally to show my support for Anna Hazare, rally to finally raise my voice on India Against Corruption. Yes, I support the cause; of course I believe it is going to bring around a change in the country. Also it is amazing to see Indians in India and also abroad, come together to make their voice heard. Good. Here, if you might be thinking that just because I am going to attend a rally, I felt like writing this piece, I would say NO.

Well, to be honest enough, I wanted to bring up my issue when I write next for my college monthly magazine (nist e_news), but a few well-wishers thought bringing up the issue there would lead to many raised eye-brows, and in turn harm me. So what? I have this, Random Rambles, to bring up my point of view, also make it heard and stand out in the crowd. My friends in the college are well aware of the student’s election coming up in a few days, and for others I would like to tell you that, as in every college, my college too selects and elects the students governing body, and this year it’s going to be from my batch. No, I am not standing for any post and no this blog is not to garner support for me or any of my friend. It is just that since this all is happening in my batch, I am so called well aware of what is going on. The only motive of the students standing for the election is “Jo jitna jeb mei daal sakta h daal lo”. Sad. Isn’t it?  Well yes, atleast when a 74 year old man is leading and staking his life to abolish corruption from the country. What is more funny here is, many of these, the so called student’s who will be members of the governing body of my college, will also be attending the rally tomorrow which I mentioned previously. The most corrupted in my college right now will show that they are against corruption...Ha ha ha!!!

Look, who is supporting the cause to bring an end to the corruption! Is it going to benefit the country or harm it? The leaders of my college today might be the leaders of the nation tomorrow (sssssshhhh!!! well, I know they never can be!) and it does not give a good feeling. I feel sorry for the old man who believes that people who are coming out to support his cause actually think like him. The country will get paralyzed very soon, if such is the youth of this country.

I am sure, this is not only going on in my neighborhood or my college, and this is the story everywhere. How many of the millions who have turned up at various places can firmly and truly tell that they won’t be a part of the corruption in their future. I do not know what the Government is going to do on the Jan Lokpal Bill, neither do do I know how effectively the Bill will run even if it is passed. I have a solution for the corruption going on, all I am asking the public protesting today with candles and banners, is to come up with the corrupted deals they have undergone, then the task to abolish corruption won’t be left on to the ministers and the men in white alone. Let every man speak on what they have done to support or encourage corruption, and also if you are not sure that you will stay away from corruption tomorrow do not support the cause today. You are misguiding the nation today and if the Bill passes tomorrow the nation will not spare you. Give it a thought! Change if you are wrong and let India be a better place to live in.

Mr. Anna Hazare, this was what I could do on my part to Fight Against Corruption.

MY FIRST STEP AGAINST CORRUPTION IS " STOP USING PIRATED CDs"

for anna i would like to add few lines written by ram prasad bismil.

Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai
Dekhna hai zor kitna baazu-e-qaatil mein hai

Aye watan, karta nahin kyon doosraa kuchh baat-cheet
Dekhta hun main jise woh chup teri mehfil mein hai

Aye shaheed-e-mulk-o-millat main tere oopar nisaar
Ab teri himmat ka charcha gair ki mehfil mein hai

Waqt aane de bata denge tujhe aye aasman
Hum abhi se kya batayen kya hamare dil mein hai

Kheench kar layee hai hamko qatl hone ki ummeed
Aashiqon ka aaj jamghat kooch-e-qaatil mein hai

Hai liye hathiyaar dushman taak mein baitha udhar
Aur hum taiyyaar hain seena liye apna idhar

Khoon se khelenge holi gar vatan muskhil mein hai
Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai

Haath jin mein ho junoon katate nahin talvaar se
Sar jo uth jaate hain vo jhukte nahin lalkaar se

Aur bhadkega jo shola-sa humaare dil mein hai
Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai

Hum to nikle hi the ghar se baandhkar sar pe kafan
Jaan hatheli par liye lo barh chale apane qadam

Zindagi to apni mehmaan maut ki mehfil mein hai
Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai

Yuun khadaa maqtal mein qaatil kah rahaa hai baar baar
Kya tamannaa-e-shahaadat bhi kisee ke dil mein hai

Dil mein tuufaanon ki toli aur nason mein inqilaab
Hosh dushman ke udaa denge hamein roko na aaj

Duur reh paaye jo hamse dam kahaan manzil mein hai
Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai

Jism voh kya jism hai jismein na ho khoon-e-junoon
Kya vo toofaan se lade jo kashti-e-saahil mein hai

Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai
Dekhana hai zor kitna baazu-e-qaatil mein hai
