Hello! Back after many a days… To be honest, I was trying to study for my exams but a lethargic like I, will never be able to. Huff!!!
Meanwhile, an enormous change has been brought around the nation in the last One week. TamilNadu is taken over by Jayalatitha and Mamata Banerjee single handedly threw the CPM out of power.
It was taken as obvious that people in Karnataka would not like Karunanidhi to win because leading leaders of his party, including his daughter where charged in the 2G scam. But the change or “Poriborton” in WB has created a history. She won over the more than three-decade-old communist government to become the first women CM in WB. WB is celebrating the color GREEN. When the lady was the Railway Minister at the Central Govt. she ensured that her home state was well looked after. And today when she is the CM here, she says that she is proud of her state. Well done lady! I(WE) are proud of you.
Well, I am actually very impressed and carried away by her, her simplicity, her decency, her white sari and chappals, her boldness, her confidence and her humbleness. She is a clever woman and I salute the fighter within her. Hours after being sworn in as the CM and reciting her oath in Bengali, she remembered her fight for Singur and promised the people to return them their lands. The lady walked on foot from Raj Bhawan to Writers Building for her oath ceremony, and was cut on her arm and foot in the jostling and pushing of the crowd. She very humbly refused to go in the car because she wanted to acknowledge the people welcoming her. Now which minister in India would this?
She is so determined on working for the people that she ignores to use Bullet-proof cars as she does not want to spend public money for her security. I wish Mayawati, who spent crores of public money on her statue alone and leave aside the lakhs she spends on her Birthday every year, hears her.
Where we know ministers flooded with cash and properties, this new CM of Bengal does not even own a car. She still wears her trademark chappals and white cotton saree gifted by the public.
I am reminded of Anil Kappor’s movie Nayak, his heroic deeds, and only I wish is seeing the reel CM and his laudable works in the real life. And, why I believe this lady is determined to do it!
I was never a fan of this lady Mamata Banerjee before, but now she has drawn all my attention towards her. I gotta study, my exams nearing, please pray that I do good. Will, keep posting. :)
